Itinerary:-
DAY 01: Chennai
Meeting and assistance at Chennai airport and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.
DAY 02: Chennai :-
Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast starts city tour of Chennai visiting museum to see the art and bronze gallery. (Closed on Fridays and Public holidays). DRIVE THROUGH THE Flower and Fruit market, High court, Fort Museum, Marina Beach, San thome Cathedral.) Dinner & Overnight at hotel.
DAY 03: DRIVE CHENNAI TO PONDICHERRY VIA MAHABALIPURAM(170 KMS/ 03-04 HRS)
Morning breakfast at hotel. Post breakfast drive to Pondicherry, en-route visiting Mahabalipuram. Visit shore temple in the town. Then procced to drive continue drive to Podicherry. On arrival check in at hotel. Dinner.
DAY 04: DRIVE PONDICHERRY TO TRICHY (210 KMS/ 04-05 HRS)
Morning breakfast at hotel. Post breakfast drive to Trichy. Upon arrival check-in at hotel. Afternoon city tour visiting the citadel of the Chola dynasty in the medieval period. IN the 18th century it witnessed the Carnatic wars of thought between the French & English, Lord Olive’s house is still there you can see and so is the Danish Church, The Rock-Fort is the Landmark of Trichy. A climb of 434 steps leads to the ancient temple of Ganapati on top and further climb to a Shiva temple. Dinner and Overnight at hotel
DAY 05: DRIVE TRICHY TO MADURAI VIA TANJORE (145 KMS/ 03-04 HRS)
Morning breakfast at hotel. Post breakfast drive to Madurai en-route visiting Tanjore the beautiful Chola Temple of Brihadeshwara, Its bronzes & handicrafts make Tanjore one of the highlighted of a visit od the South. It is also famous for silk, on of the best in India. Upon arrival check-in at hotel. Later visit city of Trichy. Dinner and Overnight at hotel.
DAY 06: IN MADURAI
Morning breakfast at hotel followed by visit to the beautiful Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering Gopurams, rising high above the surrounding township. Later visit the Trimala Nayak Temple – A graceful building in the Indo-Saracenic style, famous for the stucco work in its domes and arches. Dinner and Overnight at hotel.
DAY 07: DRIVE MADURAI - PERIYAR(145 KMS/ 03-04 HRS)
Morning breakfast at hotel. Post breakfast drive to Periyar, Later visit to Spice Plantation followed by Nature walk with a Naturalist. Periyar lake National Park eriyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary (PNP) is a protected area in the districts of Idukki and Pathanamthitta in Kerala, India. It is notable as an elephant reserve and a tiger reserve. The protected area covers a very big area of the core zone was declared as the Periyar National Park in 1982.
DAY 08: DRIVE PERIYAR-ALLEPPEY(160 KMS/ 03-04 HRS)
Morning breakfast at hotel. Post breakfast drive to Alleppey, to board houseboat. The houseboat will take you on a round trip of Alleppey Alleppey is known as the Venice of the East has a largest network of Canals and is a center for backwater cruises in Kerala. On arrival check in to Houseboat. Cruise around backwater villages of Alleppey. You can cruise through small narrow canals, lakes & lagoons see traditional fishing, farming below sea level etc., which will help you to catch a brief memorable picture of Kerala backwaters. Overnight in Houseboat. Lunch, Dinner & Overnight at hotel.
DAY 09: DRIVE ALLEPPEY- COCHIN(60 KMS/ 01 HR)
Morning breakfast at houseboat, Later disembark houseboat and drive to Chennai. Upon arrival check-in at hotel. Later visit to Kumbalgini village. Essentially a fishing hamlet, this tiny village facing the Kochi backwaters in the western part of the city is India’s first designated ecotourism village and the first rural tourism village of the state.
